Compassion Party Mission Statement

The mission of the Compassion Party is to embrace happiness by utilizing tolerance, equality, and understanding.

Why is this our goal?

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

Sound familiar? The Declaration of Independence says that the purpose of government is to secure human rights and protect those seeking happiness. This belief is further confirmed in the Preamble to the Constitution:

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

The founding fathers explain that the Constitution’s purpose is to improve the condition of humanity and increase the happiness of all individuals. We believe that anything our government does should have this goal in mind, and nothing else. We are dedicated to promoting the general welfare. We are dedicated to showing love to anybody and everybody. We are dedicated to compassion.
